The TAiQ MWD features a more flexible suspension than conventional powerchairs, which delivers two significant benefits: Greater climbing over obstacles, reducing undesired jolts.
The telescopic motorised HiLo feature on this power chair allows you to lower your seat to a height of 38cm (excluding cushion), allowing you to sit lower under tables.
The HiLo elevation function on this power chair raises you 30cm (38-70cm), allowing you to easily reach countertops and taller cabinets.
All TA electric wheelchairs can be used as a seat in any vehicle with the Dahl Docking System or 4 Point Tie Down, eliminating the need to transfer to a car seat.

Primary Use: Getting around in the community
“This is my first power wheelchair. MUCH better than my scooter!”
This is my first power wheelchair. MUCH better than my scooter. It is smaller and has a tiny pivot spot – great for turning around in tight places. This chair is my life. It gets me from A to B. This chair is my legs. It means I can do things without pain or getting tired. I can sit under most tables and use the up-and-down and tilt function to adjust my seat hight.
The suspension is very good. The odd jolt but overall very comfortable. I like the great air tyres which help me with pain prevention.
Morton & Perry offer great customisation options; I chose a cupholder, leather satchel, bag carrier and I love my Vicair cushion and my side mirror makes me safer. In addition, they customised the chair in my favourite colour purple.
It’s great how I can do everyday things like put the rubbish out.
It’s such a great chair. I recommended it to a mate and he got the same chair. He loves his chair too.

“I am able to get things of the higher shelves with the aid of the lift!”
Last year I received a new wheelchair supplied by Morton and Perry. It is a model TaiQ MWD. I get around everywhere in it. The chair is quite a talking point at the supermarket. I am able to get things off the higher shelves with the aid of the lift and people stop and ask about it.
Recently, I had a bad accident and now I use it a lot more around the house. I have found that I can do a whole lot more in the house while sitting in the chair than I thought I could. This includes cooking, making coffee, washing dishes, and wiping the benches. It takes some innovative thinking, but it can be done. It is a great little wheelchair. Thank you Morton and Perry.

“It’s the most comfortable chair I have ever had!”
For the past 4 years, the TAiQ electric wheelchair has been extremely reliable. It’s long-lasting battery gives me the confidence to engage on long trips. I haven’t had a battery replacement in the 4 years I had it. The chair gets me independently on the train at Avondale and navigates me with ease through Auckland city. I spend the whole day in my chair from 9am – 8pm (11hours) and it’s the most comfortable chair I have ever had. It’s the best chair by far.
